Shri Neogi, fondly referred to as "Sisir da," had been a stalwart in the field of Public Health and Environmental Engineering, leaving an indelible mark on the community he served tirelessly. His passing on Thursday, January 26, 2024, in Kolkata, was mourned not only by IPHE but by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.
The condolence meeting, held on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 06:00 PM, commenced with a moment of silence, as participants collectively reflected on the profound impact Shri Sisir Kumar Neogi had made during his lifetime. Secretary General S. K. Mukherjee led the proceedings, highlighting the significance of Shri Neogi's contributions and the void his absence leaves within the IPHE community and beyond.
